OUR HISTORY
Vine Place Community Outreach (VPCO) was established July 2019 with a mission to
secure and redirect God’s resources. Our goal is to meet the mandate of God; to meet
the needs of God’s people within the church and the community. We believe in
educating the community about the invisible faces most affected by food insecurity. We continue to raise the standard of care and navigating the stages of change for food insecurities of men, women and children in Rankin County and surrounding areas. VPCO is housed on the campus of True Vine Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. It was founded by Rev. Stanley James, Pastor of True Vine Baptist Church. One of our major accomplishments was in January 2020- VPCO fed individuals, families, and children experiencing food insecurity in Rankin County and surrounding areas during the pandemic. Through VPCO partnering with foundations, private donors, and the public, VPCO has served individuals and families who are experiencing Personal Hardship/Trauma. VPCO provides a hand up to help them on their journey back to self-reliance. Along the way, the support we offer has continuously evolved to better serve the community.
